History

Started in 1936 when Antoine Pasos opens his first beauty institute in São Paulo under the name Antoine’s. The salon offers a wide range of services from hair styling to fashion consulting, and quicky was frequented by artists, celebrities, and the high society of São Paulo.

In the 70 on a trip to Rio de Janeiro, Antoine discovers an orthopedic cincher made entirely of natural rubber and designed to provide back support. It is fromthis inspiration that Esbelt’s curve-creating shapewear is born. Mass production begins in 1972, ushering in the new age of shapewear in Brazil. Once again endorsed by celebrities at the time, the product becomes a massive hit.

In 2000 the operations expand to the United States and Europe, and in 2005 Esbelt makes its European debut, where it’s an instant hit, launching the brand into a new era. All this was confirmed in the prestigious Salon de la Lingerie highlights Esbelt, in 2010, as owning the modern style corset.
The years of 2010 to 2012 was the of consolidation of the brand in Europe. In 2013 the operations expand to the Middle East and Africa markets.
